Annealing
Annealing refers to a heat treatment method in which components are heated to a certain temperature, kept there for a specified period of time, and then subjected to a defined cooling process. Depending on the annealing process, the annealing temperatures are between 500 °C and 1,000 °C. Annealing processes can be carried out in all systems at RENK.
The goal of annealing treatments is to obtain a certain structure or material state for the subsequent mechanical processing and thermochemical heat treatment.
